Sea Lion Island
Sea Lion Island is a relatively small island in the South East of the Falkland Islands. It is as its name suggests a excellent location to observe Sea Lions, however it is the Sea Elephants that populate a beach a short stroll from the lodge that draw the most attention. It is very easy to spend hours observing the sea elephants in particular the bulls as they continually fight to maintain thier harems. There are Magellanic penguin and and Gentoo penguins colonies located very close to the lodge, all this makes the wildlife of Sea Lion Island the most accessible of all the islands.
